National Tournament - 1st April 2006
| Kingston | 2-1 | Greenvale | Morden | 4-0 | Colliers Wood | |
| Lewisham South | 1-1 | Kingston | Greenvale | 1-5 | Colliers Wood | |
| Lewisham South | 3-1 | Greenvale | Kingston | 0-1 | Morden | |
| Colliers Wood | 1-0 | Lewisham South | Morden | 2-1 | Greenvale | |
| Colliers Wood | 0-3 | Kingston | Morden | 3-0 | Lewisham South |
The first match against Morden was expected to be difficult, and so it proved, with the Wildcats not really getting their act together in defence until the game was half over. As the score was already 3-0 by then, it was too late to get anything from the game.
The second match saw a great improvement and a much more confident performance. Greenvale could not match the physical challenge imposed by the Wildcats, and the goals started coming, with Ellis, Elyas, Charlie, Ryan and Ciaran all getting onto the scoresheet with some excellent finishing.
After a break, we moved to the higher level pitch for our third match, which was a very tight affair against a competitive Lewisham South side. With the score 0-0 at half-time it seemed the game would probably be decided by a single goal, which came when Victor went down to win a penalty, which he had to take twice. (The second attempt was more convincing than the first.) The abiding memory of the match, however, was the shot that hit the crossbar and may well have left a dent in it!
The final match pitched the Wildcats against Kingston. A draw would almost certainly be enough to get runners-up spot in the group and a possible place in the quarter-finals. We played with the wind in the first half, and their goal was under almost constant pressure, but the finishing touch was lacking, with the only time we got the ball in the net being disallowed. In the second half, Kingston made good use of the wind to catch our defence napping, and snatch a goal. They then repeated the trick, and the Wildcats no longer seemed to believe they could get a result, conceding an unfortunate further goal.
The final table was:
| P | W | SD | NSD | L | F | A | Pts | |
| Morden | 4 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 10 | 1 | 12 |
| Kingston | 4 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 6 | 3 | 8 |
| Colliers Wood | 4 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 6 | 8 | 6 |
| Lewisham South | 4 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 4 | 6 | 5 |
| Greenvale | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 4 | 4 | 12 | 0 |
Bearing in mind that Kingston won the Tournament last year, and Morden have been in 4 of the last 5 finals (winning 3 of them), this was a pretty good performance. Thanks to everyone who turned up to support the Wildcats, and thanks to Morden Little League for hosting the group. Thanks also to all the officials, and to the other teams, for contributing to an enjoyable experience. Finally, congratulations to every player in the Wildcats - Colliers Wood Little League can be proud of you.
As it turned out, Kingston didn't qualify for the quarter-finals either, and Morden were the only team to go through from this group. The other quarter-finalists are Carshalton, Clapham and Addiscombe as group winners and Raynes Park and Wimbledon as best runners-up.
The quarter-finals were held at the Joseph Hood Recreation Ground (Wimbledon LLF) on Saturday 8th April. Morden beat Clapham 4-3, Wimbledon beat Addiscombe 3-1 and Carshalton went through on penalties after drawing 1-1 with Raynes Park.
The semi-finals were held on 22nd April. Morden beat Wimbledon 3-0 and Carshalton beat Ladywood 3-2.
The final was held on 29th April. Morden beat Carshalton 1-0, which shows that the Wildcats' second half performance against them was pretty creditable.
