| Jaguars 3 Leopards 4 A game for which the word pulsating could have been invented. This game had everything you could ask for. End to end thrills throughout, and how the scoreline at half-time was still 0-0 is something of a mystery. In the second half the goals came with the Leopards scoring twice before the Jaguars pulled one back. Another goal for the Leopards to make it 3-1 seemed to have settled matters. But not as far as the Jaguars were concerned. With time running out, they threw everything into attack, and scored twice in rapid succession to level the match at 3-3. Surely the match was over, the goalposts on the other pitches were being dismantled, but there was still time for the Leopards to score a superb goal from distance and clinch a 4-3 victory. |
The Kites beat the Hawks to take second spot in the Birds of Prey league. The Falcons matches with the Hawks in Week 6 and the Kites in Week 8 look crucial in determining the destination of the Spring Season shield. The Leopards overtook the Jaguars at the top of the Big Cats league. These teams meet again in Week 7, and no doubt the Jaguars will be keen to avenge their defeat. It looks like this league will be hotly contested with teams changing places every week. |
