Match Reports Round-up
Leopards 3 Cheetahs 2 - Report by Kevin McGowan
A game played at high pace with considerable skill and commitment.
This game was a credit to Little League and despite twice pulling level through a brace of goals from Ciaran, the Cheetahs could not dent the Leopards' 100% start this season.
Leopards won through a hat trick of headers from Victor.  A long throw from Elyas found him clear after 10 minutes and a deft flick of the head put the Leopards in front.
Cheetahs came back and some clever passing put Ciaran through, 1-1.
Déjà vu, another Elyas long throw and Victor was up to his old tricks again 2-1.
Half-time and a change of tactics by Cheetahs allowed them to push themselves forward more. Both teams made good use of their substitutes and the game was flowing very nicely.  Another good passing move put Ciaran through again and 2-2.
It was now anybody’s game and the watching crowd and managers were getting more and more vocal.
Cheetahs continued to put pressure on but could not break down the Leopards defence.  The Leopards broke quickly and had a number of shots either too high or just wide.
Another throw by Elyas, a goalmouth scramble and Victor once again nodded the ball into the Cheetahs net.  Some controversy, was it a push or even the hand of God, but no, the referee, well placed, ruled that it was a fair use of body strength. 3-2 to the Leopards.
An enjoyable game and congratulations to the Leopards; it does not look they can be stopped now.
The Eagles and the Leopards both won to strengthen their hold at the top of their leagues.

The Leopards only need another point, but there could be quite a fight for second place in the Big Cats league.

In the Birds of Prey league the Eagles can't afford to drop points, or their meeting with the Falcons in Week Ten could be "Winner Takes All".
