COLLIERS WOOD LITTLE LEAGUE FOOTBALL

Minutes of meeting held at GJs Monday 12th January 2004

Present: Tom Walsh, Mark Greaves, Mike Rogers, Kevin Taylor, Joe Bettell, Ben Walsh, Peter Dauncey, Wendy Walsh

Apologies: None received

Social Event at Guardian Centre on 31 Jan. 120 tickets have been printed and nearly all are with managers to sell. PD to deliver 10 each to Trevor Da Costa and Eoin Duffy, and Mrs Leggett to be given 2 complimentaries. Counterfoils and monies to be returned to TW. Entertainment is in hand (Paul Thomas). Food is sorted (TW & WW). KT said his mother-in-law may provide additional food. Guardian Centre supply crockery and cutlery, and run the bar. (Licence obtained and paid for.) Raffle prizes - all contributions gratefully received. BW can get a Chelsea shirt signed by the whole Chelsea squad, which it was agreed would make a great prize, and worth printing on tickets to be sold on match mornings as well as on the night. PD to print tickets.

Helpers will be needed from 6pm onwards on the night. Need to ensure all children are accompanied.

National Tournament - KT can get spare kit for squad of 14. Agreed that BW is best choice to select squad as he's seen all the players. KT to retrieve entry form. When squad selected, PD to check ages.

Autumn Season - 2 sets of fixtures still to be played, probably on tennis court. Timetable for 6 (short) games on one pitch was given, to make best use of managers' time.

Trophies - TW to find out prices. Agreed to have separate trophies for Autumn and Spring seasons. CWCA have offered to sponsor trophy for Cup Competition.

Cup Competition - to be held later in the season. Preference expressed for 6 match format, with 3 winners plus "best loser" getting to semi-finals.

Spring Season will commence 14 Feb not 7 Feb. 7 Feb can be used as training session.
