Minutes of meeting held at GJs Monday 10th November 2003

Admin Items

Ropes around pitch - agreed. Managers can be inside, but no-one else. No-one should ever be on the field of play

Registers - managers should complete and give to the Secretary each week

New players - managers with players missing to check with Secretary if anyone available

Kit bags - six needed, one per squad (senior/junior combined). Can be left under Secretary's table.

Goal erection/dismantling - managers of first/last games need to help. Encourage parents to assist

Kits still to be sorted - some socks needed?

Absentees - If players miss 3 weeks in row, chase up, dismiss & collect kit if necessary

Centre circle, corner markings. Kevin T will bring yellow spray on Sat 15/11.

Rule clarifications

Discipline - current informal system seems to be working ok, no need to change

Team size - 7. Can be increased to 8 if managers and ref agree, but if one side has less than 7 they will have to play a man (or two) short. Definitely can't bring in player from senior or junior squad (At least two separate LLF rules prohibit that!)

Subs - roll-on, roll-off, but must be via ref with ball out of play

Kits - No excuse now for kids not to be wearing them. Tracksuit bottoms OK if shorts are worn over them

Linesmen - not required. Definitely not a good idea to let managers run the line.

Other

Social event - 27 Jan or 3 Feb 2004 at The Guardian Centre. £5 adult £1 child. First come first served, only 120 tickets.

Newsletter - next issue soon, to mention social event, and meeting to start organising it

Match reports - volunteers to write them required. (Mention in next Newsletter?)

League table could be displayed on community noticeboard

Cup competition - in New Year, trophy to be awarded at Social Event.
